If you could have one thing in your life today that you don’t currently have what would it be? Would it be better health, longer life, prosperity? The question is why don’t most of us have these things? Health, wellness, vitality and prosperity are basic inalienable rights we have as humans.

But why is it:

• That there has been almost a 400% increase in asthma in the last 20 years in the United States.

Why is it:

• Obesity is out of control. Almost 70% of American’s are obese and by 2011 possibly over 90% of American’s will be obese.

There is more Cancers, diabetes, heart disease, auto immune system diseases, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, more diseases in general then ever before and to top it off we have the possibility of a child being born today not having the life expectancy of its parents. This could be the first time in U.S. history.

Yet we are the most medically sophisticated country in the world. We have the best science, technology, pharmaceuticals (I might add we dispense an awful lot of drugs) and we have the best doctors in the world.

But why may I ask are we sicker than ever?

Enough is enough.

In my opinion there are possibly three reasons why we are sick:

1. Lack of proper nutrition.
2. Toxicity in the body.
3. Stress overload.

HOW MIGHT THIS HAPPEN? — As far as proper nutrition goes we are just not getting the right nutrition from the foods we are eating today. And our bodies are getting constantly inundated with toxins.

LET’S TALK ABOUT OUR FOOD — Unless we are totally organic consumers our food for the most part is nutritionally incomplete. And lack of proper nutrition impedes the body’s ability to defend and resist against disease. Combine this lack of proper nutrition with this; our produce is sprayed with pesticides, insecticides, fungicides and herbicides. Our meats are a whole other story. We’ve got growth hormones and antibiotics in our beef, poultry, pork, lamb and also in our milk, eggs and cheeses. Let’s include the wonderful world of artificial colors, sweeteners, preservatives, chemical additives, processed foods, polluted water, air, stress and don’t forget we have a toxicology experiment going on in our homes with all the chemicals we clean with and that could lead to a whole other litany of diseases and problems. “My goodness and we wonder why we’re so sick.”
